Music Department
Following the organization structure of the Diocesan strategic plan, the Music Department falls under the Board of Communication, which also consists of Print Media and Public Relations. The department is headed by the Music Coordinator under the patronage of the Diocesan Bishop. Each Archdeaconry has at least one member in the committee, along with a six-member team of Music Technicians who advise, plan, and organize church and festival songs.
NOTE: Music and Drama Department encourages singing as a way of worshipping and giving praise unto God.
Our Main Objectives
- To spread the gospel through Music, Drama, and Poetry.
- To promote our Anglican church hymns.
- To encourage creativity.
- Nurturing talents among the children, youths, and adults.
- To provide a forum for Christian interaction.
- To encourage the study of the Bible through memory verses.
Ongoing Activities
- Music workshops facilitated by Music Technicians.
- Music festivals during the month of December:
- 13-12-2021: Diocesan Festivals at Christ Church Cathedral
- 17-12-2021: Regional Festivals at Mumias Cathedral
